    Reporter In a big ░░░░░░░░ Yale and Harvard are ░░░░░░░░ out of an annual ░░░░░░░░ that ranks the nation ░░░░░░░░ top law schools SNOW ░░░░░░░░ s right They are ░░░░░░░░ the system profoundly flawed ░░░░░░░░ News correspondent Ron Allen ░░░░░░░░ covering that for us ░░░░░░░░ Ron this is all ░░░░░░░░ that U S News ░░░░░░░░ Report annual ranking right ░░░░░░░░ we think of as ░░░░░░░░ the marquee ranking Both ░░░░░░░░ these schools usually do ░░░░░░░░ well on that ranking ░░░░░░░░ are they pulling out ░░░░░░░░ They do extremely well ░░░░░░░░ is number one and ░░░░░░░░ is number three or ░░░░░░░░ And this again is ░░░░░░░░ school rankings Remember there ░░░░░░░░ rankings for engineering schools ░░░░░░░░ schools business schools and ░░░░░░░░ some extent this is ░░░░░░░░ gold standard Families students ░░░░░░░░ a lot of attention ░░░░░░░░ U S News and ░░░░░░░░ they have to say ░░░░░░░░ schools because it makes ░░░░░░░░ it so much simplifies ░░░░░░░░ But Yale and Harvard ░░░░░░░░ making a statement of ░░░░░░░░ They are saying that ░░░░░░░░ whole process is fundamentally ░░░░░░░░ because it essentially pays ░░░░░░░░ much attention to what ░░░░░░░░ might think of as ░░░░░░░░ metrics when they are ░░░░░░░░ at law school students ░░░░░░░░ who have high GPAs ░░░░░░░░ who do well on ░░░░░░░░ law the LSATs the ░░░░░░░░ exams students who basically ░░░░░░░░ well in the law ░░░░░░░░ and they get a ░░░░░░░░ high paying job at ░░░░░░░░ end with no debt ░░░░░░░░ Yale is saying and ░░░░░░░░ as well that there ░░░░░░░░ and their mission to ░░░░░░░░ law profession and to ░░░░░░░░ colleges and their universities ░░░░░░░░ to find other kinds ░░░░░░░░ students who are diverse ░░░░░░░░ perhaps need financial aid ░░░░░░░░ who perhaps don t ░░░░░░░░ as high in traditional ░░░░░░░░ They say that the ░░░░░░░░ S News rankings don ░░░░░░░░ value that type of ░░░░░░░░ They also Yale and ░░░░░░░░ say they are trying ░░░░░░░░ direct a lot of ░░░░░░░░ students to public service ░░░░░░░░ public interest law and ░░░░░░░░ re saying that the ░░░░░░░░ S News writings also ░░░░░░░░ t value that That ░░░░░░░░ why they re opting ░░░░░░░░ SNOW All right Ron ░░░░░░░░ thank you.”
