SNOW Race relations BYRD ░░░░░░░░ re much much better ░░░░░░░░ they ve ever been ░░░░░░░░ my lifetime I think ░░░░░░░░ this is my personal ░░░░░░░░ I think we talk ░░░░░░░░ race too much I ░░░░░░░░ there are I think ░░░░░░░░ problems are largely behind ░░░░░░░░ I think we can ░░░░░░░░ profit by our mistakes ░░░░░░░░ think we ve reached ░░░░░░░░ new plateau and I ░░░░░░░░ it s going to ░░░░░░░░ going upward That understanding ░░░░░░░░ race relations But I ░░░░░░░░ I just think we ░░░░░░░░ so much about it ░░░░░░░░ I think we help ░░░░░░░░ somewhat an illusion I ░░░░░░░░ we try to have ░░░░░░░░ My own mom told ░░░░░░░░ Robert you can t ░░░░░░░░ to heaven if you ░░░░░░░░ anybody If we practice ░░░░░░░░ There are white niggers ░░░░░░░░ ve seen a lot ░░░░░░░░ white niggers in my ░░░░░░░░ I m going to ░░░░░░░░ that word But we ░░░░░░░░ all we just need ░░░░░░░░ together to make our ░░░░░░░░ a better land And ░░░░░░░░ d just as soon ░░░░░░░░ talking about it so ░░░░░░░░ SNOW Now after our ░░░░░░░░ Friday I went back ░░░░░░░░ Senator Byrd and he ░░░░░░░░ there s a term ░░░░░░░░ used in our discussion ░░░░░░░░ that people may misconstrue ░░░░░░░░ his office has put ░░░░░░░░ a statement regarding that ░░░░░░░░ apologize for the characterizations ░░░░░░░░ used on this program ░░░░░░░░ phrase dates back to ░░░░░░░░ childhood and has no ░░░░░░░░ in today s society ░░░░░░░░ for my language I ░░░░░░░░ no intention of casting ░░░░░░░░ on anyone of another ░░░░░░░░ In my attempt to ░░░░░░░░ strongly held feelings I ░░░░░░░░ have offended people that ░░░░░░░░ never intended to offend ░░░░░░░░ there are people of ░░░░░░░░ race who would rather ░░░░░░░░ others simply because of ░░░░░░░░ conceived false stereotypes based ░░░░░░░░ skin color People who ░░░░░░░░ this are obstacles to ░░░░░░░░ race relations and become ░░░░░░░░ stereotypes that they despise ░░░░░░░░ by working together and ░░░░░░░░ improving the understanding between ░░░░░░░░ races we can overcome ░░░░░░░░ narrow minded people and ░░░░░░░░ obstacles that they represent.’”
