Bream: I’m the Only Idiot Who Ever Gained Weight While Training for a Marathon

RUSH TRANSCRIPT It s ░░░░░░░░ now for the friend ░░░░░░░░ where we invite one ░░░░░░░░ our friends from within ░░░░░░░░ building here in fox ░░░░░░░░ New York or in ░░░░░░░░ C For example Tonight ░░░░░░░░ are joined by the ░░░░░░░░ Shannon bream Shannon since ░░░░░░░░ are about the skinniest ░░░░░░░░ I know We know ░░░░░░░░ the rest of us ░░░░░░░░ a few pounds is ░░░░░░░░ your resolution but your ░░░░░░░░ tricked you into a ░░░░░░░░ resolution Didn t he ░░░░░░░░ here s the thing ░░░░░░░░ Bream does not believe ░░░░░░░░ resolutions There he is ░░░░░░░░ can see too he ░░░░░░░░ got a hollow He ░░░░░░░░ everything he wants to ░░░░░░░░ works out He decided ░░░░░░░░ year in December going ░░░░░░░░ the next year he ░░░░░░░░ have the goal of ░░░░░░░░ a marathon And I ░░░░░░░░ that is awesome He ░░░░░░░░ a college athlete I ░░░░░░░░ no doubt that he ░░░░░░░░ be able to do ░░░░░░░░ And so I am ░░░░░░░░ about my plan having ░░░░░░░░ little posters and signs ░░░░░░░░ the way Cheer him ░░░░░░░░ T shirt I m ░░░░░░░░ up with like the ░░░░░░░░ and color scheme in ░░░░░░░░ head he said oh ░░░░░░░░ we are going to ░░░░░░░░ this together I m ░░░░░░░░ I can t even ░░░░░░░░ down the block This ░░░░░░░░ crazy So somehow I ░░░░░░░░ roped into his non ░░░░░░░░ goal for the new ░░░░░░░░ and five months later ░░░░░░░░ ran the Pittsburgh marathon ░░░░░░░░ Oh yeah And listen ░░░░░░░░ deal was I will ░░░░░░░░ do this if you ░░░░░░░░ at my pace I ░░░░░░░░ all kinds of sneaky ░░░░░░░░ to back out all ░░░░░░░░ the way Idiots guide ░░░░░░░░ run a marathon I ░░░░░░░░ you it might have ░░░░░░░░ that title Pick a ░░░░░░░░ sign up for it ░░░░░░░░ send in your money ░░░░░░░░ I felt bad about ░░░░░░░░ in the 35 because ░░░░░░░░ m like I m ░░░░░░░░ quitting this at some ░░░░░░░░ Then it said you ░░░░░░░░ to tell everybody you ░░░░░░░░ So we would be ░░░░░░░░ the grocery store like ░░░░░░░░ the checkout counter at ░░░░░░░░ line and my husband ░░░░░░░░ be like by the ░░░░░░░░ we are running the ░░░░░░░░ marathon this year And ░░░░░░░░ we got totally roped ░░░░░░░░ doing it and I ░░░░░░░░ sort of backed out ░░░░░░░░ lost my toe nails ░░░░░░░░ lost my temper a ░░░░░░░░ times but somehow we ░░░░░░░░ across that line I ░░░░░░░░ have loved to have ░░░░░░░░ the secret plans for ░░░░░░░░ to get away from ░░░░░░░░ marathon That would have ░░░░░░░░ a scandal Shannon sneaking ░░░░░░░░ from the marathon I ░░░░░░░░ Here s the thing ░░░░░░░░ Toward the end of ░░░░░░░░ running you are doing ░░░░░░░░ runs 18 miles 20 ░░░░░░░░ which literally I couldn ░░░░░░░░ run a mile when ░░░░░░░░ started this thing It ░░░░░░░░ sheer will power and ░░░░░░░░ of prayers I was ░░░░░░░░ under the misconception that ░░░░░░░░ those long runs you ░░░░░░░░ sit in a tub ░░░░░░░░ the rest of the ░░░░░░░░ and just sort of ░░░░░░░░ sleeves of Oreos So ░░░░░░░░ end up being the ░░░░░░░░ idiot you will ever ░░░░░░░░ who actually gained weight ░░░░░░░░ training for a marathon ░░░░░░░░ there is one picture ░░░░░░░░ me crossing the finish ░░░░░░░░ and I was like ░░░░░░░░ marshmallow man I will ░░░░░░░░ show anybody But I ░░░░░░░░ finish the marathon I ░░░░░░░░ a medal to prove ░░░░░░░░ I love it congratulations ░░░░░░░░ that Thank you Quick ░░░░░░░░ of topic here you ░░░░░░░░ one of those Christmas ░░░░░░░░ I do Is that ░░░░░░░░ or a curse Because ░░░░░░░░ presents are combined and ░░░░░░░░ of that I loved ░░░░░░░░ I m born on ░░░░░░░░ 23rd I think my ░░░░░░░░ took me only on ░░░░░░░░ day My middle name ░░░░░░░░ Noel We hey holiday ░░░░░░░░ going on I never ░░░░░░░░ differently I loved it ░░░░░░░░ does make effort for ░░░░░░░░ wrapping paper for birthday ░░░░░░░░ Christmas Still such exciting ░░░░░░░░ Reserve time I have ░░░░░░░░ brother who is the ░░░░░░░░ after Christmas Hi Pete ░░░░░░░░ always felt like that ░░░░░░░░ tougher Everybody is in ░░░░░░░░ coma and presents are ░░░░░░░░ The build up is ░░░░░░░░ but he has the ░░░░░░░░ after Christmas too So ░░░░░░░░ have a lot of ░░░░░░░░ in December Last question ░░░░░░░░ big question for Shannon ░░░░░░░░ will you ever run ░░░░░░░░ marathon I m one ░░░░░░░░ done Listen that was ░░░░░░░░ my husband s bucket ░░░░░░░░ We are now over ░░░░░░░░ my bucket list which ░░░░░░░░ t involve any more ░░░░░░░░ of marathons I still ░░░░░░░░ run but I don ░░░░░░░░ think 26 2 again ░░░░░░░░ Congratulations on doing it ░░░░░░░░ new year to you ░░░░░░░░ too Mr Bream has ░░░░░░░░ name Sheldon It is ░░░░░░░░ bream Happy new year ░░░░░░░░ too, Ed.
