ACOSTA Yeah Absolutely Let ░░░░░░░░ talk about President Biden ░░░░░░░░ looming Supreme Court pick ░░░░░░░░ think a lot of ░░░░░░░░ viewers and a lot ░░░░░░░░ Americans are bracing for ░░░░░░░░ McConnell to try to ░░░░░░░░ out a way to ░░░░░░░░ another Democratic president s ░░░░░░░░ What assurances can you ░░░░░░░░ that that won t ░░░░░░░░ this time Do you ░░░░░░░░ that we won t ░░░░░░░░ that happen this time ░░░░░░░░ you think McConnell you ░░░░░░░░ knows that the jig ░░░░░░░░ up and folks are ░░░░░░░░ of on to what ░░░░░░░░ s been up to ░░░░░░░░ these last several years ░░░░░░░░ Supreme Court picks LEAHY ░░░░░░░░ of course everybody saw ░░░░░░░░ outrageous blocking of the ░░░░░░░░ process in blocking Merrick ░░░░░░░░ And unfortunately Mitch McConnell ░░░░░░░░ able to do it ░░░░░░░░ he had a number ░░░░░░░░ Republicans who had stated ░░░░░░░░ that Oh yeah Merrick ░░░░░░░░ be good person I ░░░░░░░░ easily vote for him ░░░░░░░░ then they got lockstep ░░░░░░░░ blocking even having a ░░░░░░░░ If you don t ░░░░░░░░ somebody well then vote ░░░░░░░░ up or vote them ░░░░░░░░ But what we saw ░░░░░░░░ diminished the Supreme Court ░░░░░░░░ damaged the U S ░░░░░░░░ And you could see ░░░░░░░░ complete hypocrisy when he ░░░░░░░░ through a Supreme Court ░░░░░░░░ within days of the ░░░░░░░░ election which President Biden ░░░░░░░░ So I know I ░░░░░░░░ it would be very ░░░░░░░░ for him to block ░░░░░░░░ I think what the ░░░░░░░░ public would say You ░░░░░░░░ t do this And ░░░░░░░░ would hope that the ░░░░░░░░ Court and those on ░░░░░░░░ would not be in ░░░░░░░░ of something like this ░░░░░░░░ it is diminishing the ░░░░░░░░ Court it s losing ░░░░░░░░ Supreme Court is losing ░░░░░░░░ credibility It s down ░░░░░░░░ polls now in a ░░░░░░░░ I never thought I ░░░░░░░░ see because they see ░░░░░░░░ as being political not ░░░░░░░░ partisan And I think ░░░░░░░░ leader of any party ░░░░░░░░ or Democratic to try ░░░░░░░░ politicize the Supreme Court ░░░░░░░░ wrong I know some ░░░░░░░░ the names that President ░░░░░░░░ is looking at They ░░░░░░░░ all superb nominees They ░░░░░░░░ people that in normal ░░░░░░░░ would go through very ░░░░░░░░ easily Let s bring ░░░░░░░░ nominee up let s ░░░░░░░░ a hearing Justice Breyer ░░░░░░░░ us all plenty of ░░░░░░░░ notice.”
