‘Detroit Is Open for Business’: Obama Hits the Road, Touting ‘Breakthrough Year’

“I just had lunch ░░░░░░░░ Detroit s new mayor ░░░░░░░░ Duggan He told me ░░░░░░░░ s one thing that ░░░░░░░░ wants everybody to know ░░░░░░░░ s that Detroit is ░░░░░░░░ for business and I ░░░░░░░░ great confidence that he ░░░░░░░░ going to provide the ░░░░░░░░ that you need I ░░░░░░░░ really proud of him ░░░░░░░░ point is we ve ░░░░░░░░ had to buckle down ░░░░░░░░ ve all had to ░░░░░░░░ hard we ve all ░░░░░░░░ to fight our way ░░░░░░░░ these past five years ░░░░░░░░ in a lot of ░░░░░░░░ we are now better ░░░░░░░░ for the 21st century ░░░░░░░░ any other country on ░░░░░░░░ This morning we learned ░░░░░░░░ our businesses in the ░░░░░░░░ sector created more than ░░░░░░░░ 000 jobs last month ░░░░░░░░ up to about 8 ░░░░░░░░ million new jobs over ░░░░░░░░ past four years Our ░░░░░░░░ rate is now the ░░░░░░░░ it s been since ░░░░░░░░ I was first elected ░░░░░░░░ companies across the country ░░░░░░░░ saying they intend to ░░░░░░░░ even more folks in ░░░░░░░░ months ahead And that ░░░░░░░░ why I believe this ░░░░░░░░ be a breakthrough year ░░░░░░░░ America And I ve ░░░░░░░░ here today to sign ░░░░░░░░ bill that hopefully means ░░░░░░░░ in Washington feel the ░░░░░░░░ way Instead of wasting ░░░░░░░░ creating crises that impede ░░░░░░░░ economy we re going ░░░░░░░░ have a Congress that ░░░░░░░░ ready to spend some ░░░░░░░░ creating new jobs and ░░░░░░░░ opportunities and positioning us ░░░░░░░░ the future and making ░░░░░░░░ our young people can ░░░░░░░░ advantage of that future.”
