federalist Justin it ░░░░░░░░ great to see you ░░░░░░░░ Why did you vote ░░░░░░░░ Donald Trump So the ░░░░░░░░ reason I decided to ░░░░░░░░ for Donald Trump was ░░░░░░░░ mostly based on policy ░░░░░░░░ kind of zoned out ░░░░░░░░ media I kind of ░░░░░░░░ realized hey we are ░░░░░░░░ a echo chamber People ░░░░░░░░ saying pretty ridiculous stuff ░░░░░░░░ are the tones Where ░░░░░░░░ I get the information ░░░░░░░░ each candidate s policy ░░░░░░░░ went to the websites ░░░░░░░░ I liked the things ░░░░░░░░ I read on Donald ░░░░░░░░ s website a bit ░░░░░░░░ than I did on ░░░░░░░░ s What did you ░░░░░░░░ What jumped out at ░░░░░░░░ So what jumped out ░░░░░░░░ me in particular was ░░░░░░░░ s policy on education ░░░░░░░░ particularly being in favor ░░░░░░░░ school choice So you ░░░░░░░░ the first thing that ░░░░░░░░ up under that particular ░░░░░░░░ of the site is ░░░░░░░░ talking about how he ░░░░░░░░ going to support the ░░░░░░░░ choice effort I work ░░░░░░░░ a charter school myself ░░░░░░░░ the south side of ░░░░░░░░ While I didn t ░░░░░░░░ with everything they were ░░░░░░░░ I really thought they ░░░░░░░░ doing some other good ░░░░░░░░ for the students So ░░░░░░░░ know that was really ░░░░░░░░ biggest thing This charter ░░░░░░░░ support and I think ░░░░░░░░ devotes is going to ░░░░░░░░ a pretty good education ░░░░░░░░ and I hope they ░░░░░░░░ to go along those ░░░░░░░░ What s interesting if ░░░░░░░░ look to get onto ░░░░░░░░ school choice question for ░░░░░░░░ second If you look ░░░░░░░░ the support for African ░░░░░░░░ school choice overwhelming over ░░░░░░░░ in the last poll ░░░░░░░░ saw The NAACP reports ░░░░░░░░ speak for all African ░░░░░░░░ recently came out against ░░░░░░░░ There seems to be ░░░░░░░░ massive disconnect between African ░░░░░░░░ voters and their purported ░░░░░░░░ on that question Why ░░░░░░░░ s unfortunate that you ░░░░░░░░ that kind of disconnect ░░░░░░░░ the organizations And I ░░░░░░░░ t know that kind ░░░░░░░░ goes on at the ░░░░░░░░ There was actually a ░░░░░░░░ Black Lives Matter leader ░░░░░░░░ Saint Paul Minnesota I ░░░░░░░░ say organization he was ░░░░░░░░ he worked in education ░░░░░░░░ he had noticed that ░░░░░░░░ his community in particular ░░░░░░░░ charter schools had you ░░░░░░░░ they have been doing ░░░░░░░░ really good things for ░░░░░░░░ youth And you know ░░░░░░░░ that he had to ░░░░░░░░ of distance himself from ░░░░░░░░ organization And unfortunate those ░░░░░░░░ don t always represent ░░░░░░░░ s opinion So agree ░░░░░░░░ not on school choice ░░░░░░░░ any of the other ░░░░░░░░ you are looking at ░░░░░░░░ in terms of what ░░░░░░░░ is saying he will ░░░░░░░░ rather than through the ░░░░░░░░ of identity politics and ░░░░░░░░ makes you very different ░░░░░░░░ most voters your age ░░░░░░░░ think I had ░░░░░░░░ I like the policies ░░░░░░░░ saw on the website ░░░░░░░░ had this really interesting ░░░░░░░░ in your piece that ░░░░░░░░ out at me You ░░░░░░░░ you went to majority ░░░░░░░░ high school and majority ░░░░░░░░ college and then you ░░░░░░░░ up at a college ░░░░░░░░ was majority white and ░░░░░░░░ said that was the ░░░░░░░░ politically intense and troubling ░░░░░░░░ to you you said ░░░░░░░░ quote a great benefit ░░░░░░░░ racial homage iety politics ░░░░░░░░ While I was at ░░░░░░░░ house Intelligent young women ░░░░░░░░ challenge me on certain ░░░░░░░░ debates on campus You ░░░░░░░░ have a debate without ░░░░░░░░ pressured not to hide ░░░░░░░░ true opinions and schools ░░░░░░░░ was just a big ░░░░░░░░ on getting your work ░░░░░░░░ and making sure you ░░░░░░░░ learning and getting everything ░░░░░░░░ are supposed to get ░░░░░░░░ a college environment While ░░░░░░░░ feel like at the ░░░░░░░░ school I attended which ░░░░░░░░ a pretty large university ░░░░░░░░ California there is just ░░░░░░░░ lot of fear and ░░░░░░░░ you know it feels ░░░░░░░░ they can t have ░░░░░░░░ conversations that I thought ░░░░░░░░ so influential and crucial ░░░░░░░░ my college experience It ░░░░░░░░ of saddens me a ░░░░░░░░ bit that they have ░░░░░░░░ Trump chalkings and that ░░░░░░░░ kind of seen as ░░░░░░░░ bit of an attack ░░░░░░░░ me I kind of ░░░░░░░░ it like hey if ░░░░░░░░ auto could have open ░░░░░░░░ about why they might ░░░░░░░░ interested in voting for ░░░░░░░░ or why they like ░░░░░░░░ of his policies then ░░░░░░░░ we wouldn t have ░░░░░░░░ kind of back and ░░░░░░░░ where it feels like ░░░░░░░░ are attacking each other ░░░░░░░░ causing all this discomfort ░░░░░░░░ you are a member ░░░░░░░░ the group you are ░░░░░░░░ to be supporting a ░░░░░░░░ party
