Rep. Jayapal Wants Senate to Vote on Reconciliation Before House Votes on Infrastructure

RUSH TRANSCRIPT Good morning ░░░░░░░░ focus is still on ░░░░░░░░ framework getting a framework ░░░░░░░░ that enough or do ░░░░░░░░ need a vote What ░░░░░░░░ ve consistently said first ░░░░░░░░ all let me start ░░░░░░░░ saying I m really ░░░░░░░░ of our caucus We ░░░░░░░░ been so united in ░░░░░░░░ up for the president ░░░░░░░░ agenda and really making ░░░░░░░░ we don t leave ░░░░░░░░ women who need child ░░░░░░░░ families who need paid ░░░░░░░░ communities that need us ░░░░░░░░ address climate change housing ░░░░░░░░ These are the things ░░░░░░░░ re fighting for and ░░░░░░░░ s the president s ░░░░░░░░ I know the White ░░░░░░░░ deeply appreciates that we ░░░░░░░░ fighting for the president ░░░░░░░░ agenda Second you know ░░░░░░░░ think as we ve ░░░░░░░░ from the beginning we ░░░░░░░░ been waiting for an ░░░░░░░░ to counter the 3 ░░░░░░░░ trillion on the table ░░░░░░░░ we understand we ll ░░░░░░░░ to get everybody on ░░░░░░░░ in order to be ░░░░░░░░ to close this deal ░░░░░░░░ we re waiting for ░░░░░░░░ We ve had really ░░░░░░░░ conversations happening at the ░░░░░░░░ House with those senators ░░░░░░░░ what that offer is ░░░░░░░░ to be So until ░░░░░░░░ get that we don ░░░░░░░░ have anything to say ░░░░░░░░ numbers So if you ░░░░░░░░ me about whether I ░░░░░░░░ willing to accept a ░░░░░░░░ or not there s ░░░░░░░░ number on the table ░░░░░░░░ I m not negotiating ░░░░░░░░ myself The third thing ░░░░░░░░ just you know for ░░░░░░░░ of you who have ░░░░░░░░ me what I need ░░░░░░░░ caucus needs in terms ░░░░░░░░ you know moving forward ░░░░░░░░ have consistently said that ░░░░░░░░ need a vote in ░░░░░░░░ Senate because I want ░░░░░░░░ make sure that there ░░░░░░░░ no delays that there ░░░░░░░░ no mix UPS no ░░░░░░░░ understanding about what the ░░░░░░░░ is And so that ░░░░░░░░ what I ve been ░░░░░░░░ I am open to ░░░░░░░░ what other options there ░░░░░░░░ for that but I ░░░░░░░░ very concerned about legislative ░░░░░░░░ holding things up voteorama ░░░░░░░░ the deal and they ░░░░░░░░ to be addressed with ░░░░░░░░ So it s content ░░░░░░░░ process and we re ░░░░░░░░ through all of that ░░░░░░░░ and I feel positive ░░░░░░░░ mean I really believe ░░░░░░░░ re still going to ░░░░░░░░ on both of these ░░░░░░░░ the entirety of the ░░░░░░░░ s agenda reporter today ░░░░░░░░ You know the time ░░░░░░░░ is I ve said ░░░░░░░░ that Monday was arbitrary ░░░░░░░░ told my friends Josh ░░░░░░░░ others that they shouldn ░░░░░░░░ back themselves into a ░░░░░░░░ because if we weren ░░░░░░░░ there we weren t ░░░░░░░░ This is the legislative ░░░░░░░░ It has to work ░░░░░░░░ out Hopefully it will ░░░░░░░░ soon We re going ░░░░░░░░ work I m not ░░░░░░░░ anywhere I m staying ░░░░░░░░ Washington D C I ░░░░░░░░ going to do all ░░░░░░░░ work I can to ░░░░░░░░ it done Hopefully it ░░░░░░░░ be soon But we ░░░░░░░░ work it through and ░░░░░░░░ what the time line ░░░░░░░░
