RUSH TRANSCRIPT Mr Wray ░░░░░░░░ morning On behalf of ░░░░░░░░ entire FBI I want ░░░░░░░░ begin by thanking the ░░░░░░░░ women who testified here ░░░░░░░░ morning ms Biles ms ░░░░░░░░ ms Nichols and ms ░░░░░░░░ among the many who ░░░░░░░░ kurt I am deeply ░░░░░░░░ profoundly sorry to each ░░░░░░░░ every one of you ░░░░░░░░ am sorry for what ░░░░░░░░ families and you have ░░░░░░░░ through I am sorry ░░░░░░░░ so many people let ░░░░░░░░ down over and over ░░░░░░░░ and I am a ░░░░░░░░ sorry that there were ░░░░░░░░ at the FBI who ░░░░░░░░ their own chance to ░░░░░░░░ this monster back into ░░░░░░░░ 15 and failed and ░░░░░░░░ is inexcusable and we ░░░░░░░░ doing everything in our ░░░░░░░░ to make sure it ░░░░░░░░ happens again Before I ░░░░░░░░ FBI director I was ░░░░░░░░ familiar with the Nassar ░░░░░░░░ shortly after his arrest ░░░░░░░░ 2016 and I remember ░░░░░░░░ appalled even then that ░░░░░░░░ many people feel people ░░░░░░░░ to do their jobs ░░░░░░░░ when I became FBI ░░░░░░░░ and learn there were ░░░░░░░░ people within the FBI ░░░░░░░░ failed I was heartsick ░░░░░░░░ curious I ordered a ░░░░░░░░ review to get to ░░░░░░░░ bottom of it That ░░░░░░░░ in part to the ░░░░░░░░ general s own room ░░░░░░░░ review and I am ░░░░░░░░ for his extensive independent ░░░░░░░░ I want to be ░░░░░░░░ The actions and inactions ░░░░░░░░ the FBI employees detailed ░░░░░░░░ this report are totally ░░░░░░░░ These individuals betrayed the ░░░░░░░░ duty that they have ░░░░░░░░ protecting people They failed ░░░░░░░░ protect young women and ░░░░░░░░ from abuse in the ░░░░░░░░ we do certainly is ░░░░░░░░ and uncertain and it ░░░░░░░░ never be perfect but ░░░░░░░░ kinds of fundamental errors ░░░░░░░░ in this case in ░░░░░░░░ and 2000 16 never ░░░░░░░░ have happened period I ░░░░░░░░ do everything in my ░░░░░░░░ to make sure they ░░░░░░░░ never happen again The ░░░░░░░░ cannot carry out its ░░░░░░░░ mission of protecting the ░░░░░░░░ people without trust and ░░░░░░░░ this case certain FBI ░░░░░░░░ broke that trust repeatedly ░░░░░░░░ inexcusably and to pretend ░░░░░░░░ would be yet one ░░░░░░░░ insult to the survivors.
