RUSH TRANSCRIPT AstraZeneca may ░░░░░░░░ able to help On ░░░░░░░░ labor day millions of ░░░░░░░░ Americans are losing all ░░░░░░░░ their unemployment benefits as ░░░░░░░░ pandemic aid expires A ░░░░░░░░ of families have been ░░░░░░░░ afloat food on the ░░░░░░░░ during the pandemic Give ░░░░░░░░ a sense of the ░░░░░░░░ the number of people ░░░░░░░░ with this end in ░░░░░░░░ Reporter This is impacting ░░░░░░░░ 11 million American You ░░░░░░░░ that down it comes ░░░░░░░░ to 8 million losing ░░░░░░░░ of their unemployment benefits ░░░░░░░░ and another 2 7 ░░░░░░░░ people losing the 300 ░░░░░░░░ federal subsidy In all ░░░░░░░░ government spent about 800 ░░░░░░░░ in unemployment assistance It ░░░░░░░░ was meant to last ░░░░░░░░ It was really just ░░░░░░░░ as a short term ░░░░░░░░ to prop up the ░░░░░░░░ and households It really ░░░░░░░░ a much needed life ░░░░░░░░ for millions struggling to ░░░░░░░░ bills and having gut ░░░░░░░░ worry about what their ░░░░░░░░ future would look like ░░░░░░░░ though the pandemic continued ░░░░░░░░ will we see workers ░░░░░░░░ into the labor market ░░░░░░░░ the benefits end It ░░░░░░░░ a question that became ░░░░░░░░ political We did see ░░░░░░░░ say a lot of ░░░░░░░░ are choosing to stay ░░░░░░░░ of work because they ░░░░░░░░ getting free money from ░░░░░░░░ government Data shows from ░░░░░░░░ the summer when some ░░░░░░░░ cut back on their ░░░░░░░░ we didn t see ░░░░░░░░ of a difference in ░░░░░░░░ growth between the states ░░░░░░░░ did pull off benefits ░░░░░░░░ those that kept the ░░░░░░░░ on So you re ░░░░░░░░ some holes poked in ░░░░░░░░ argument and it also ░░░░░░░░ shining light on some ░░░░░░░░ maybe the real reasons ░░░░░░░░ we re seeing the ░░░░░░░░ market the way it ░░░░░░░░ For one many people ░░░░░░░░ finding it hard to ░░░░░░░░ back to the jobs ░░░░░░░░ had before the pandemic ░░░░░░░░ one they may not ░░░░░░░░ their job anymore Their ░░░░░░░░ may not exist They ░░░░░░░░ not live in the ░░░░░░░░ state in which they ░░░░░░░░ their job because they ░░░░░░░░ to move There may ░░░░░░░░ job care issues Women ░░░░░░░░ finding it hard to ░░░░░░░░ child care As the ░░░░░░░░ variant continues to rage ░░░░░░░░ s concern about everybody ░░░░░░░░ health So despite the ░░░░░░░░ there are 10 1 ░░░░░░░░ jobs open and people ░░░░░░░░ want to get back ░░░░░░░░ work there are a ░░░░░░░░ of things going on ░░░░░░░░ the background that could ░░░░░░░░ preventing people from getting ░░░░░░░░ into the labor force ░░░░░░░░ kossic, appreciate it.
