My first teaching job ░░░░░░░░ was hired and I ░░░░░░░░ seventy five hundred dollars ░░░░░░░░ a man was hired ░░░░░░░░ same time and they ░░░░░░░░ him 10 thousand dollars ░░░░░░░░ ve helped win four ░░░░░░░░ cup championships and four ░░░░░░░░ gold medals for the ░░░░░░░░ States despite those wins ░░░░░░░░ m still paid less ░░░░░░░░ men who do the ░░░░░░░░ job that I do ░░░░░░░░ strength of unequal pay ░░░░░░░░ on the notion of ░░░░░░░░ value it is an ░░░░░░░░ of equity invest in ░░░░░░░░ then let s talk ░░░░░░░░ when you see the ░░░░░░░░ return my college experience ░░░░░░░░ good but I do ░░░░░░░░ that those years were ░░░░░░░░ when I became more ░░░░░░░░ of discrepancies within the ░░░░░░░░ I think you see ░░░░░░░░ more in our professional ░░░░░░░░ than we do in ░░░░░░░░ colleges unfortunately obviously we ░░░░░░░░ a very public fight ░░░░░░░░ on going on there ░░░░░░░░ yeah I feel like ░░░░░░░░ felt it almost more ░░░░░░░░ college it s even ░░░░░░░░ for women of color ░░░░░░░░ and when we talk ░░░░░░░░ equal pay we always ░░░░░░░░ about the 80 cents ░░░░░░░░ the dollar or 85 ░░░░░░░░ and it s real ░░░░░░░░ s not that s ░░░░░░░░ the number it s ░░░░░░░░ 52 cents for Hispanic ░░░░░░░░ of the things I ░░░░░░░░ proud of still we ░░░░░░░░ going to reduce child ░░░░░░░░ by 40 but it ░░░░░░░░ about focusing on caregivers ░░░░░░░░ so many women are ░░░░░░░░ of the workforce because ░░░░░░░░ have to choose between ░░░░░░░░ care of their elderly ░░░░░░░░ and their son or ░░░░░░░░ that s home or ░░░░░░░░ to work so often ░░░░░░░░ work is left to ░░░░░░░░ people that it s ░░░░░░░░ most we re doing ░░░░░░░░ best that we can ░░░░░░░░ what we have but ░░░░░░░░ have it obviously come ░░░░░░░░ the very top is ░░░░░░░░ most important I think ░░░░░░░░ re making enormous progress ░░░░░░░░ I think there was ░░░░░░░░ huge seismic shift last ░░░░░░░░ inequities in our society ░░░░░░░░ sort of laid very ░░░░░░░░ yeah and for sure ░░░░░░░░ think a lot of ░░░░░░░░ people especially dropped the ░░░░░░░░ part of it realized ░░░░░░░░ know we have to ░░░░░░░░ more now we need ░░░░░░░░ couple it with the ░░░░░░░░ approach and you know ░░░░░░░░ bills and legislation and ░░░░░░░░ of that to go ░░░░░░░░ with the change that ░░░░░░░░ re seeing in society
