STANTON My home state ░░░░░░░░ Arizona is part of ░░░░░░░░ ninth circuit Currently there ░░░░░░░░ only one openly gay ░░░░░░░░ of the bench in ░░░░░░░░ ninth circuit So I ░░░░░░░░ to hear from Admiral ░░░░░░░░ and Diaz Yaeger on ░░░░░░░░ one Lack of diversity ░░░░░░░░ the federal judiciary hurts ░░░░░░░░ justice system How do ░░░░░░░░ go about making a ░░░░░░░░ to address such vast ░░░░░░░░ in making up our ░░░░░░░░ bench DIAZ YAEGER I ░░░░░░░░ happy to address that ░░░░░░░░ congressman So how do ░░░░░░░░ do that What we ░░░░░░░░ is we expand our ░░░░░░░░ and you rely on ░░░░░░░░ bar organizations such as ░░░░░░░░ So by expanding that ░░░░░░░░ you also expand inherently ░░░░░░░░ pipeline That pipeline then ░░░░░░░░ help as we work ░░░░░░░░ we move forward grow ░░░░░░░░ of diverse candidates that ░░░░░░░░ you know considered and ░░░░░░░░ to the committee make ░░░░░░░░ possibly through the committee ░░░░░░░░ selection So I think ░░░░░░░░ you ve got to ░░░░░░░░ at on on a ░░░░░░░░ starting from law school ░░░░░░░░ them know that this ░░░░░░░░ a possibility work on ░░░░░░░░ pipeline make sure that ░░░░░░░░ community members work with ░░░░░░░░ bar organizations Most of ░░░░░░░░ almost all of the ░░░░░░░░ bar organizations have vigorous ░░░░░░░░ requirements and we have ░░░░░░░░ on the ground So ░░░░░░░░ know the individuals in ░░░░░░░░ state we know the ░░░░░░░░ and are happy to ░░░░░░░░ in providing qualified candidates ░░░░░░░░ forward.”
