RUSH TRANSCRIPT Obama Well ░░░░░░░░ the first of any ░░░░░░░░ know when you re ░░░░░░░░ first of anything the ░░░░░░░░ feels you feel like ░░░░░░░░ have you don t ░░░░░░░░ room to make mistakes ░░░░░░░░ of the things I ░░░░░░░░ t talk about in ░░░░░░░░ book but I talk ░░░░░░░░ on the road is ░░░░░░░░ I do remember that ░░░░░░░░ the end of that ░░░░░░░░ flight that we took ░░░░░░░░ when I was leaving ░░░░░░░░ the Capitol and we ░░░░░░░░ We got on air ░░░░░░░░ one the last time ░░░░░░░░ forgot about this because ░░░░░░░░ didn t put it ░░░░░░░░ the book But a ░░░░░░░░ of mine reminded me ░░░░░░░░ cried for about 30 ░░░░░░░░ And it was just ░░░░░░░░ release of eight years ░░░░░░░░ feeling like we had ░░░░░░░░ do everything perfectly that ░░░░░░░░ wasn t a margin ░░░░░░░░ error that we couldn ░░░░░░░░ make mistakes that we ░░░░░░░░ t that we couldn ░░░░░░░░ slip that our tone ░░░░░░░░ to be perfect Because ░░░░░░░░ was that was the ░░░░░░░░ that was set for ░░░░░░░░ But it was also ░░░░░░░░ bar that we always ░░░░░░░░ for ourselves Thinking that ░░░░░░░░ the first people will ░░░░░░░░ everyone of our race ░░░░░░░░ our gender by what ░░░░░░░░ do And there is ░░░░░░░░ there that comes with ░░░░░░░░ So that s how ░░░░░░░░ carried ourselves And that ░░░░░░░░ to trickle down to ░░░░░░░░ of our staff So ░░░░░░░░ pressure was on everyone ░░░░░░░░ couldn t afford to ░░░░░░░░ a mistake We couldn ░░░░░░░░ afford to look cavalier ░░░░░░░░ had to watch our ░░░░░░░░ And we also knew ░░░░░░░░ everything we said we ░░░░░░░░ about how it would ░░░░░░░░ viewed by children not ░░░░░░░░ our children but all ░░░░░░░░ our children We we ░░░░░░░░ that we we were ░░░░░░░░ moral compass so we ░░░░░░░░ to speak carefully and ░░░░░░░░ and intelligently and we ░░░░░░░░ t just say things ░░░░░░░░ the cuff Now Stephen ░░░░░░░░ hold on Laughter You ░░░░░░░░ my next question So ░░░░░░░░ Stephen You know my ░░░░░░░░ question Applause May I ░░░░░░░░ it You can ask ░░░░░░░░ Stephen The question is ░░░░░░░░ as people people who ░░░░░░░░ that moral position seriously ░░░░░░░░ tais serious position how ░░░░░░░░ it feel to see ░░░░░░░░ next occupant at least ░░░░░░░░ the Oval Office I ░░░░░░░░ t speak to anyone ░░░░░░░░ s family who seems ░░░░░░░░ about that responsibility I ░░░░░░░░ been very clear about ░░░░░░░░ I felt about that ░░░░░░░░ gave a speech about ░░░░░░░░ at the 2016 convention ░░░░░░░░ question that we have ░░░░░░░░ ask ourselves is how ░░░░░░░░ the country feel about ░░░░░░░░ Because I don t ░░░░░░░░ it matters how I ░░░░░░░░ about it I felt ░░░░░░░░ felt torn about it ░░░░░░░░ the day I watched ░░░░░░░░ happen But now the ░░░░░░░░ has to ask itself ░░░░░░░░ do we want What ░░░░░░░░ the bar that we ░░░░░░░░ setting for ourselves It ░░░░░░░░ t matter what you ░░░░░░░░ I think at this ░░░░░░░░ It s up to ░░░░░░░░ voters now to figure ░░░░░░░░ what do we what ░░░░░░░░ of moral leadership do ░░░░░░░░ demand in the White ░░░░░░░░ regardless of party regardless ░░░░░░░░ race regardless of gender ░░░░░░░░ of where you area ░░░░░░░░ do we want our ░░░░░░░░ to look like How ░░░░░░░░ we want them to ░░░░░░░░ And if we vote ░░░░░░░░ one set of behavior ░░░░░░░░ that s obviously what ░░░░░░░░ want And until we ░░░░░░░░ differently Applause Stephen We ░░░░░░░░ be right back with ░░░░░░░░ former First Lady Michelle ░░░░░░░░
