    RUSH TRANSCRIPT Harris Perry ░░░░░░░░ feels to me like ░░░░░░░░ of what s happening ░░░░░░░░ is when I say ░░░░░░░░ while black we talked ░░░░░░░░ walking while black in ░░░░░░░░ case in the Freddie ░░░░░░░░ watching the video and ░░░░░░░░ and hearing his agony ░░░░░░░░ keep wondering is there ░░░░░░░░ benefit of a doubt ░░░░░░░░ to a black person ░░░░░░░░ public space If that ░░░░░░░░ true if riding an ░░░░░░░░ bike in black body ░░░░░░░░ generates suspicion then that ░░░░░░░░ the new Jim Crow ░░░░░░░░ s what Jim Crow ░░░░░░░░ is that black bodies ░░░░░░░░ public space are inherently ░░░░░░░░ BROWN Yes I want ░░░░░░░░ mention two things I ░░░░░░░░ it s so ingrained ░░░░░░░░ you don t have ░░░░░░░░ have a white person ░░░░░░░░ to have white supremacy ░░░░░░░░ out Harris Perry Just ░░░░░░░░ for a second What ░░░░░░░░ just said there is ░░░░░░░░ to be difficult for ░░░░░░░░ folks to hear because ░░░░░░░░ discourse of white supremacy ░░░░░░░░ often mean academic discourse ░░░░░░░░ for ordinary people sitting ░░░░░░░░ home may say did ░░░░░░░░ call all white people ░░░░░░░░ So tease that out ░░░░░░░░ little bit BROWN I ░░░░░░░░ do my best Harris ░░░░░░░░ I recognize that it ░░░░░░░░ hard on a TV ░░░░░░░░ BROWN With an institution ░░░░░░░░ American policing that I ░░░░░░░░ is founded on anti ░░░░░░░░ on slave patrols there ░░░░░░░░ things so institutionally ingrained ░░░░░░░░ terms of how we ░░░░░░░░ communities that are anti ░░░░░░░░ They may not say ░░░░░░░░ the language that they ░░░░░░░░ stop and target black ░░░░░░░░ but when you do ░░░░░░░░ type of proactive policing ░░░░░░░░ akined to stop and ░░░░░░░░ this effects black and ░░░░░░░░ and poor communities This ░░░░░░░░ be almost comical this ░░░░░░░░ in Tampa if it ░░░░░░░░ t so scary You ░░░░░░░░ 11 year olds boys ░░░░░░░░ young as 11 being ░░░░░░░░ on their bikes in ░░░░░░░░ This is introducing children ░░░░░░░░ the criminal justice system ░░░░░░░░ an early age.”
