Obama: We Can ‘Discredit Violent Ideologies’ by Heeding Words of 11-Year-Old Who Wrote me a Valentine

“I m thinking of ░░░░░░░░ little girl named Sabrina ░░░░░░░░ last month sent me ░░░░░░░░ Valentine s day card ░░░░░░░░ the shape of a ░░░░░░░░ It was the first ░░░░░░░░ I got I got ░░░░░░░░ from Sabrina before Malia ░░░░░░░░ Sasha and Michelle gave ░░░░░░░░ one so she s ░░░░░░░░ years old She s ░░░░░░░░ the fifth grade She ░░░░░░░░ a young Muslim American ░░░░░░░░ she said in her ░░░░░░░░ I enjoy being an ░░░░░░░░ and when she grows ░░░░░░░░ she wants to be ░░░░░░░░ engineer or a basketball ░░░░░░░░ which are good choices ░░░░░░░░ she wrote I am ░░░░░░░░ about people hating Muslims ░░░░░░░░ some Muslims do bad ░░░░░░░░ that doesn t mean ░░░░░░░░ of them do She ░░░░░░░░ please tell everyone that ░░░░░░░░ are good people and ░░░░░░░░ re just like everyone ░░░░░░░░ Applause Those are the ░░░░░░░░ and the wisdom of ░░░░░░░░ little girl growing up ░░░░░░░░ in America just like ░░░░░░░░ daughters are growing up ░░░░░░░░ in America We re ░░░░░░░░ like everybody else And ░░░░░░░░ needs to remember that ░░░░░░░░ the course of this ░░░░░░░░ As we move forward ░░░░░░░░ these challenges we all ░░░░░░░░ responsibilities We all have ░░░░░░░░ work ahead of us ░░░░░░░░ this issue We can ░░░░░░░░ paper over problems and ░░░░░░░░ re not going to ░░░░░░░░ this if we re ░░░░░░░░ just trying to be ░░░░░░░░ correct But we do ░░░░░░░░ to remember that 11 ░░░░░░░░ old girl That s ░░░░░░░░ hope That s our ░░░░░░░░ That s how we ░░░░░░░░ violent ideologies by making ░░░░░░░░ her voice is lifted ░░░░░░░░ Making sure she s ░░░░░░░░ Making sure that she ░░░░░░░░ supported and then recognizing ░░░░░░░░ are little girls and ░░░░░░░░ like that all around ░░░░░░░░ world.”
