Buttigieg We ve got ░░░░░░░░ crisis when it comes ░░░░░░░░ roadway fatalities in America ░░░░░░░░ lose about 40 000 ░░░░░░░░ every year It s ░░░░░░░░ level that s comparable ░░░░░░░░ gun violence And we ░░░░░░░░ a lot of racial ░░░░░░░░ Black and brown Americans ░░░░░░░░ citizens and rural residents ░░░░░░░░ much more likely to ░░░░░░░░ their lives whether it ░░░░░░░░ in a car or ░░░░░░░░ a pedestrian being hit ░░░░░░░░ a car There are ░░░░░░░░ lot of reasons related ░░░░░░░░ discrimination related to the ░░░░░░░░ the ways that roads ░░░░░░░░ designed and built who ░░░░░░░░ access to a safe ░░░░░░░░ design that s got ░░░░░░░░ and good lighting and ░░░░░░░░ doesn t have that ░░░░░░░░ that can drive disparities ░░░░░░░░ we have a responsibility ░░░░░░░░ act on that.”
