JANSING Massachusetts Democratic Senator ░░░░░░░░ Markey serves on the ░░░░░░░░ and Public Works Committee ░░░░░░░░ he joins me now ░░░░░░░░ to see you senator ░░░░░░░░ Thank you Good to ░░░░░░░░ you JANSING Let s ░░░░░░░░ with what we just ░░░░░░░░ from Cal because you ░░░░░░░░ been one of the ░░░░░░░░ lawmaker on climate policy ░░░░░░░░ the Senate and before ░░░░░░░░ frankly in the house ░░░░░░░░ senior administration official told ░░░░░░░░ News senator that the ░░░░░░░░ way to protect the ░░░░░░░░ is to make sure ░░░░░░░░ economy is strong What ░░░░░░░░ you think about that ░░░░░░░░ Well that s not ░░░░░░░░ his executive order is ░░░░░░░░ today This is not ░░░░░░░░ executive order this a ░░░░░░░░ of war against wind ░░░░░░░░ solar against all renewables ░░░░░░░░ a clean energy technology ░░░░░░░░ And it s also ░░░░░░░░ denial of the science ░░░░░░░░ climate change And so ░░░░░░░░ best way for us ░░░░░░░░ create jobs would be ░░░░░░░░ your last analyst just ░░░░░░░░ is to move on ░░░░░░░░ this new era We ░░░░░░░░ hundreds of thousands of ░░░░░░░░ in wind and solar ░░░░░░░░ only have 50 to ░░░░░░░░ 000 jobs left in ░░░░░░░░ coal industry And that ░░░░░░░░ is just going to ░░░░░░░░ not only in the ░░░░░░░░ States but globally What ░░░░░░░░ in this executive order ░░░░░░░░ saying is we re ░░░░░░░░ to be the laggard ░░░░░░░░ re not going to ░░░░░░░░ We re going to ░░░░░░░░ to Germany to China ░░░░░░░░ ability to develop these ░░░░░░░░ clean energy technologies which ░░░░░░░░ then proliferate and create ░░░░░░░░ all across the planet ░░░░░░░░ not here in the ░░░░░░░░ States of America.”
