VP Harris: Republicans ‘Don’t Want You to Vote’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT So far ░░░░░░░░ year 17 state legislatures ░░░░░░░░ enacted 28 new laws ░░░░░░░░ will make it harder ░░░░░░░░ Americans to vote These ░░░░░░░░ now be clear but ░░░░░░░░ These bills have already ░░░░░░░░ law They are now ░░░░░░░░ the books and that ░░░░░░░░ not to mention the ░░░░░░░░ four hundred bills that ░░░░░░░░ legislatures are attempting right ░░░░░░░░ to pass You know ░░░░░░░░ in Texas right now ░░░░░░░░ all is designed I ░░░░░░░░ to make it harder ░░░░░░░░ you to vote So ░░░░░░░░ you don t vote ░░░░░░░░ let s talk about ░░░░░░░░ exactly these laws will ░░░░░░░░ What will they actually ░░░░░░░░ Well let s say ░░░░░░░░ the last election you ░░░░░░░░ have voted early cause ░░░░░░░░ work long hours Well ░░░░░░░░ laws will cut early ░░░░░░░░ Let s say your ░░░░░░░░ voted by mail To ░░░░░░░░ the long lines well ░░░░░░░░ laws will cut vote ░░░░░░░░ mail Say your coworker ░░░░░░░░ your friend next to ░░░░░░░░ friend Voted in person ░░░░░░░░ Election Day And put ░░░░░░░░ that sticker with pride ░░░░░░░░ these laws will make ░░░░░░░░ difficult for folks who ░░░░░░░░ in line These laws ░░░░░░░░ obstacle upon obstacle These ░░░░░░░░ make it harder for ░░░░░░░░ to vote Because they ░░░░░░░░ t want you to ░░░░░░░░ And so I will ░░░░░░░░ again Your vote matters ░░░░░░░░ voice matters your will ░░░░░░░░ your desire for yourself ░░░░░░░░ your family s matters ░░░░░░░░ regardless of who you ░░░░░░░░ where you live what ░░░░░░░░ you belong to your ░░░░░░░░ matters Your vote is ░░░░░░░░ power And so I ░░░░░░░░ don t blame body ░░░░░░░░ take your power from ░░░░░░░░ Don t let anybody ░░░░░░░░ your power from you ░░░░░░░░ the part of your ░░░░░░░░ We will not let ░░░░░░░░ take away our power ░░░░░░░░ that s why we ░░░░░░░░ all here together today ░░░░░░░░ re not gonna let ░░░░░░░░ happen And so many ░░░░░░░░ fight back In some ░░░░░░░░ Americans have successfully blocked ░░░░░░░░ of the anti voter ░░░░░░░░ from becoming law and ░░░░░░░░ are being challenged in ░░░░░░░░ In Congress leaders are ░░░░░░░░ to passed two bills ░░░░░░░░ law that would protect ░░░░░░░░ strengthen voting rights and ░░░░░░░░ is another important component ░░░░░░░░ our work together And ░░░░░░░░ is mobilizing to ensure ░░░░░░░░ vote in the elections.
