RUSH TRANSCRIPT Let s ░░░░░░░░ to voting rights The ░░░░░░░░ will vote on Tuesday ░░░░░░░░ a sweeping bill that ░░░░░░░░ most certainly be blocked ░░░░░░░░ Republicans Senator Joe Manchin ░░░░░░░░ propose ING a narrower ░░░░░░░░ which still seems to ░░░░░░░░ a lot in it ░░░░░░░░ Democrats There are things ░░░░░░░░ a ban on partisan ░░░░░░░░ restoring key parts of ░░░░░░░░ Voting Rights Act Stacey ░░░░░░░░ says she can absolutely ░░░░░░░░ this proposal Do you ░░░░░░░░ you said there seems ░░░░░░░░ be a lot in ░░░░░░░░ for Democrats That s ░░░░░░░░ the way I look ░░░░░░░░ it Democrats could support ░░░░░░░░ What we are trying ░░░░░░░░ do is preserve democracy ░░░░░░░░ what Republican legislatures and ░░░░░░░░ are doing in the ░░░░░░░░ disgraceful way imaginable is ░░░░░░░░ try to deny people ░░░░░░░░ color young people poor ░░░░░░░░ the right to vote ░░░░░░░░ with disabilities That is ░░░░░░░░ And I really we ░░░░░░░░ disagree on all kinds ░░░░░░░░ issues Taking away the ░░░░░░░░ of people to participate ░░░░░░░░ American democracy as you ░░░░░░░░ acceptable and Congress must ░░░░░░░░ that in any and ░░░░░░░░ way Also in my ░░░░░░░░ we had a deal ░░░░░░░░ doc money in politics ░░░░░░░░ ought to deal with ░░░░░░░░ I will do as ░░░░░░░░ as I can and ░░░░░░░░ on those Republicans who ░░░░░░░░ trying to undermine democracy ░░░░░░░░ could that mean the ░░░░░░░░ compromise given the reality ░░░░░░░░ the narrow majority you ░░░░░░░░ We re going to ░░░░░░░░ the best I would ░░░░░░░░ I like what the ░░░░░░░░ passed hr 1 I ░░░░░░░░ that is a serious ░░░░░░░░ effort to protect American ░░░░░░░░ We ll see what ░░░░░░░░ here in the Senate ░░░░░░░░ like you re open ░░░░░░░░ the compromise though Sounds ░░░░░░░░ I m open to ░░░░░░░░ everything I possibly can ░░░░░░░░ protect American democracy Let ░░░░░░░░ tell you something this ░░░░░░░░ an enormously serious issue.
