Holder: If Republicans Create an ‘Illegitimate Majority,’ We’ll Need to Add Justices to Court

RUSH TRANSCRIPT HOLDER Now ░░░░░░░░ have many very serious ░░░░░░░░ This is not a ░░░░░░░░ thing that we re ░░░░░░░░ about here You re ░░░░░░░░ about abortion rights cases ░░░░░░░░ rights cases You re ░░░░░░░░ about LGBTQ rights the ░░░░░░░░ Care Act All of ░░░░░░░░ issues are going before ░░░░░░░░ court And to have ░░░░░░░░ court that is not ░░░░░░░░ of at least respecting ░░░░░░░░ consistency and how it ░░░░░░░░ elected with these heavy ░░░░░░░░ that effect all Americans ░░░░░░░░ in many ways frightening ░░░░░░░░ me Because if we ░░░░░░░░ a tilted court based ░░░░░░░░ some hypocritical Politics and ░░░░░░░░ issues are weighed that ░░░░░░░░ we re talking about ░░░░░░░░ could be impacted by ░░░░░░░░ HOLDER That s exactly ░░░░░░░░ You would put in ░░░░░░░░ if this is allowed ░░░░░░░░ happen a 6 3 ░░░░░░░░ And with all the ░░░░░░░░ you have talked about ░░░░░░░░ would have a conservative ░░░░░░░░ illegitimate conservative majority on ░░░░░░░░ court ruling on the ░░░░░░░░ that will effect the ░░░░░░░░ for generations to come ░░░░░░░░ Merrick Garland had been ░░░░░░░░ as he should have ░░░░░░░░ there would have been ░░░░░░░░ progressive majority for the ░░░░░░░░ three years I think ░░░░░░░░ if in fact they ░░░░░░░░ successful in placing a ░░░░░░░░ on the court I ░░░░░░░░ that what Democrats have ░░░░░░░░ do assuming Biden is ░░░░░░░░ and there is a ░░░░░░░░ majority for the Democrats ░░░░░░░░ need think about court ░░░░░░░░ And at a minimum ░░░░░░░░ part of that reform ░░░░░░░░ I think additional justices ░░░░░░░░ to be placed on ░░░░░░░░ Supreme Court.”
