Matthew Dowd: If Biden’s Approval Was 43% Instead of 40%, We Would Be Inaugurating the First Black Woman President
‘Democrats would’ve taken the House’
EXCERPT:
DOWD: “I'm with John Fetterman about this election -- is everybody ought to chill out in this election, because it was not long ago, 2 years ago, the Democrats did exceedingly well in a number of states, electing women for governor, electing women in statewide offices, electing people of color in offices across the country, in -- in -- especially in key states. And I'll give people this fact. If Joe Biden's job approval rating was 3 or 4 points higher on Election Day, if it was 43 or 44 percent on Election Day instead of 40, then we would be inaugurating the first black woman president of the United States, the Democrats would have taken the House, and the Republicans would have only picked up two seats in the Senate.”
