Judge Nap: I Agree with McConnell that Judge Gorsuch Will Be Justice Gorsuch by Week’s End

NAPOLITANO: "Well I -- I must tell you, I fully agree with the clip that you just ran from Senator McConnell. Judge Gorsuch will be Justice Gorsuch by the end of the week, and I don’t think the American public really cares which procedures the Senate uses on the floor. We care because we’re lawyers and we follow this thing. The Senate cares because it may -- it may change a precedent. But the bottom line is Donald Trump promised a Scalia-like nominee to replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia. He found this person in Neil Gorsuch. The Democrats were not able to find any defects in his thinking or his writings or his demeanor or his personal or professional history and he will be confirmed. The president gets to appoint somebody that agrees with the president, just like President Barack Obama did with Justice Sotomayor and Justice Kagan."
