JAYAPAL: "— what's true and what's not true and then also to try and take away this narrative that, in general, immigrants are criminals. And maybe there are a few exceptions here and there but, in general, that's the narrative they're putting out with everything. So then it makes it very difficult for people to focus on the compassion of kids who are fleeing. And I think on the refugee situation, really figuring out how we go back to realizing that 50,000 refugees is nothing in this world and we really have a duty to the world and to our history as a country to really make sure that we continue to increase and not decrease those numbers."
