Susan Collins: I Certainly Hope We Don’t Blow Up the Filibuster for Gorsuch

If you look at our history, there has only been one case in modern times where filibuster has been used to derail a Supreme Court nominee, and that was way back in 1968. So the tradition has been to have a straight up and down vote on every Supreme Court nominee. I believe that’s what Judge Gorsuch deserves and I was heartened yesterday when one of the most senior Democrats, Senator Patrick Leahy, the most senior Democrat said that that is what should occur."
