Rove: Trump’s Right to Increase Military Spending But His ‘Challenge’ Is Keeping the Debt in Check

‘You cannot, over the long haul, deal with our deficits unless you deal with entitlement programs’

RUSH EXCERPT:

ROVE: "I support the increase in military spending. But I think John puts his point at the end. You cannot, over the long haul, deal with our deficits unless you deal with entitlement programs. One quick example, Medicare, average couple over the course of their lifetime will put in 122,000 in Medicare taxes, take a $387,000 in benefits, and passed $265,000 onto their kids and grandkids in the form of higher deficits. President Trump is right to increase the military but he is going to have challenge as keeping the debt in check if he doesn't deal with entitlements over the course of his term."
