McAuliffe to Trump: Stop Talking About Deportations; You’re Scaring People

‘ICE agents randomly confronted individuals’

EXCERPT:

MCAULIFFE: "We are not going to deport ourselves out of this problem. We are not going to deport 11.4 million people. Just stop that talk! You’re scaring people. In the end of the day we need a comprehensive immigration policy. But the concern that I have, we had a case in Virginia the other day at a church, a hypothermia center where we had individuals who went overnight to get out of the cold, came out, ICE agents randomly confronted individuals, the first person was illegal resident. We now have ICE officers stopping people on the street --"
SCARBOROUGH: "Right."
MCAULIFFE: "-- with a photograph saying do you know this person? If they say no, they continue to ask questions. If we have changed our policy in this great nation then all of a sudden we can randomly stop whomever we want. I think that is very dangerous for the greatest nation on earth."
