Sen. McCaskill: I May Get Primaried Because of Tea Party-Like Enthusiasm in Democratic Party (Mediaite)

Back in 2009, Tea Partiers mobilized pretty early on against President Obama. And now, as one Democratic senator said this week, the same thing is happening on the left less than a month into President Trump‘s term.

CNN’s KFILE flagged audio from Senator Claire McCaskill‘s interview on The Mark Reardon Show yesterday, in which she talked about running for reelection next year.

However, she added, “I may have a primary because there is, in our party now, some of the same kind of enthusiasm at the base that the Republican party had with the Tea Party.”
