‘Who Knew Donald Trump Was Such a Helicopter Dad’: CNN Commentator on Trump’s Nordstrom Tweet (Mediaite)

Earlier today, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to attack retail chain Nordstrom for dropping his daughter Ivanka’s clothing and accessory brand from their stores. (A tweet that was sent out while the president was scheduled to be taking his daily intelligence briefing.)

During a panel discussion on CNN following the tweet, CNN Political Commentator Amanda Carpenter weighed in on Trump’s comments. After host Kate Bolduan read off the president’s tweet and a response from former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, who stated this was something a father would say but not a president, Carpenter made an observation about Trump’s fathering style.

“My first thought was who knew Donald Trump was such a helicopter dad,” she noted.
