Sanders and Cruz Awkwardly Invite Each Other to Work Together

‘You’re not going to support that’

RUSH EXCERPT:
SANDERS: "I find myself in agreement with Ted. He’s right. The function of insurance companies is not to provide quality health care to all people. It’s to make as much money as they possibly can. Ted, let’s work together on a medicare for all, single payer program so we’re finally going to get private insurance companies out of our lives ... Ted, let’s work together, we’re going to get those insurance companies out of health care. We’ll move to a medicare for all health care program, guaranteeing health care to all people.
CRUZ: "I would love to respond."
SANDERS: "You’re not going to support that."
CRUZ: "What I will actually say is, I would love for us to work together going after big pharma and taking on the FDA. Right now it takes $2 billion to approve a new drug. I’ve written legislation to reform the process so we can be curing diseases and curing people. I would encourage you to join me in that legislation. So, if someone has a terminal disease, the government won’t tell you, you can’t try this treatment because the government won’t allow it."
