Sen. Feinstein on Pelosi Comments: ‘I Just Don’t Know’ if Bannon Is ‘White Supremacist’

TAPPER: “Do you think your fellow California Democrat leader Pelosi went too far, calling Steve Bannon a white supremacist?
FEINSTEIN: “Well, I don't know whether he's a white supremacist. I don't want to get into that because I just don't know. I know that he's a populist political adviser, and sometimes you don't — in these decisions, it's not the politics. It's the rightness or wrongness based on the need to protect the nation's security. And it's how you do it, and it's the strategy, and it's the tactics that go into it. And it calls for intelligence, and it calls for military. It doesn't call for political advice, I think.”
