Nicolle Wallace: Trump’s Speech as ‘Divisive’ as Anything Since He Started

‘He’s not going to pivot toward anything normal’

EXCERPT:

WALLACE: "We keep watching for the wrong pivot in Donald Trump. He’s not going to pivot toward anything normal. You know, we have to stop waiting for him to -- to -- to hand over his Twitter account, or to start acting dignified or to suddenly morph into 41. But I think it is reasonable to expect him to take these dark lyrics, if you will, and -- and start filling in the rest of the song. So what do we do with those shuddered up factories? I mean, I was in Erie, PA, and there were people who were laid off during the course of this campaign who aren’t going to give him forever to come up with a solution. So I think the next step for him -- you know, his inauguration address will be as divisive as everything he’s uttered since he entered the national political scene, but I think the next step for him, you know, what happens next, is -- is what does he do about it and how much time do his supporters give him?"
