Tom Cotton: Obama’s Manning Commutation ‘Demoralizing’ for Intel, Military

‘Maybe Barack Obama’s official position on WikiLeaks is bad when it embarrasses Democrats’

EXCERPT:

COTTON: "Maybe Barack Obama’s official position on WikiLeaks is bad when it embarrasses Democrats and good when it undermines national security. But there’s no doubt, also, that this is demoralizing for our intelligence community and our military. I can’t imagine that anyone in the military chain of commands or the intelligence community supported President Obama’s decision to commute the sentence of Chelsea Manning who would have been eligible for parole in just a few years under the ordinary processes in military justice. It’s very disappointing and it's very harmful to our national security going forward.”
