During an appearance on CNN’s New Day thing morning, former Republican Senator Tom Coburn tossed some criticism President-elect Donald Trump’s way regarding how he uses Twitter to lob attacks on those who disparage him.

Discussing the recent flap between civil rights hero John Lewis and Trump, Coburn told guest host Poppy Harlow that he “certainly wouldn’t have responded that way,” referencing Trump’s tweets where he said Lewis was all talk and no action and claiming that Lewis’s Congressional district is crime-ridden and failing.

“We’ve seen this pattern through his entire campaign,” Coburn added. “Where he controls the talking points by using Twitter to counter somebody else’s assertion.”
