Obama's Day: Easter Egg Roll (USA Today)

President Obama celebrates the day-after-Easter on Monday with a White House tradition.

The president and first lady Michelle Obama welcome thousands of children and their parents for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn.

"The event will feature live music, sports courts, cooking stations, storytelling, and Easter egg rolling," says the White House schedule.

The White House has been hosting Easter egg rolls since the 1870s.

Obama will also spend part of his day preparing for a week-long trip to Asia that begins Tuesday.
