Nikki Haley Warns Republicans: Trump Did Not Win by ‘Celebrating’ Our Party (Mediaite)

Nikki Haley, who’s potentially being considered for a Cabinet position in Donald Trump‘s administration, warned Republicans today that Trump’s win was not a vindication for their party.

“If we as Republicans are gonna lead effectively and have staying power as a governing party,” she said at an event today, “we must accept that Donald Trump’s election was not an affirmation of the way Republicans have conducted themselves.”

Haley explained that while Trump deserves credit for how effectively he communicated with people, “he did not do it by celebrating the Republican party.”
