Steve Rattner: ‘We Have Fewer Men of Working Age in Our Labor Force than France Does’

RATTNER: "What this shows is the percentage of people over 16 who are either working or looking for a job. And as you can see, it peaked at 67 percent really back around the year 2000. And then it went down, went up a little bit, but it’s now down to 62.9 percent, which is the lowest level since 1977. We have fewer men of working age in our labor force than France does. We have about the same percentage —"

RATTNER: "We have a fewer lower percentage of working aged men in our labor force, either working or looking for jobs, than France."
