North Carolina: ObamaCare Mandate Forcing Employers to Cut Hours

‘Employers are trying to get their arms around what the new health care law will mean, both for their bottom line and their workers’

Obamacare Mandate Forcing North Carolina Employers to Cut Hours (Washington Free Beacon)

The Obamacare employer mandate is forcing North Carolina’s public and private employers to weigh their options and cut employee hours to stay afloat, WTVDreports.

“Across the state, employers are trying to get their arms around what the new health care law will mean, both for their bottom line and their workers, specifically their part-time workers,”reporter Jon Camp said.

Given the law’s definition of a full work week as 30 hours, many employers will have to cut down work time for what were originally defined as part-time workers to avoid the mandate.
