Meyers: Trump Wants to Take Credit for Saying He’s Refusing To Bring Up Bill’s Affairs By Bringing It Up

‘What a hero — someone should give Donald Trump a trophy’

MEYERS: "And yet rather than move on the from the debate, Trump and his supporters have insisted on continuing to argue about some of his worst moments. Like when he cryptically hinted that he was going to attack Hillary for her husband's affairs but decided not to because he's such a great guy. Trump's campaign has been demanding that we give him credit for that all while bringing up the exact thing he said he would not bring up."

TRUMP: "I was going to say something -- "
HOLT: "Please, very quickly."
TRUMP: "Extremely rough to Hillary, to her family. And I said to myself, I can't do it. I just can't do it. It's inappropriate. It's not nice."
TRUMP: "I was going to hit her with her husband's women and I decided I shouldn't do it. And I didn't feel comfortable doing it. I think I did the right thing."
TRUMP JR: "He really took the high ground where he had the opportunity to go very very low. I think that took a lot of courage."

MEYERS: "Yes. How courageous. He didn't attack Hillary for her husband's affairs. What a hero. Someone should give Donald Trump a trophy. Oh, right, he already has one. Oh, come on, guys. Who put that up? Come on!"
