W.H.: We Should Be Cautious and Not Jump to Conclusions About the NYC and NJ Bombings

‘The most serious thing the president has talked about is the challenge of trying to disrupt lone wolf attacks’

EARNEST: "Well, listen, the -- the first think is we need to let investigators do their work. I want to be sure that I'm cautious and not jumping to conclusions. But, the most important thing is — well, let me say this this way, the most serious thing that the president has talked about is the challenge of trying to disrupt lone wolf attacks. That really is the most difficult thing for our law enforcement professionals to get their arms around. There’s not a conspiracy to try to disrupt. This is in many cases it's just one individual. Now, again, I’m going to let the investigators determine what’s exactly happening here. But vigilance is really important. We certainly need the public. You know, DHS has see something, say something program and we certainly encourage people to participate in that."
