Obama: To Give Families a Chance, We Have To Make Sure They Can Afford Child Care and Have Sick Leave

‘And we should make it easier, not harder, for workers to organize for better wages and working conditions’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:
"If we’re going to give all working families a chance to succeed, we have to make sure they can afford child care and they have sick leave and paid leave. And we have to make sure that women get equal pay for equal work. And we should make it easier, not harder, for workers to organize for better wages and working conditions. And we should not eliminate the minimum wage, we should raise it high enough so that if you work full time you don’t live in poverty."
