Clinton Strategist Dodges on Whether Clinton Needs Sanders Support in the General

BERMAN: “Do you need Bernie Sanders on your side? Do you need his support, his strong support to win the election in November?”
BENENSON: “We want everyone’s support.”
BERMAN: “Want and need are different things, you need it.” 
BENENSON: “Look, I think we can win this election by running a campaign on the issues, the kind of issues we’ve talked about and debated with Bernie Sanders where we have a lot more agreement than disagreement. That’s why I think he will be with us in the fall.”
