Jennings: ‘The Ship Has Clearly Sailed on Repealing’ ObamaCare, What Should Be Focused on Is Prices

‘Nobody knows exactly what‘s in these medical bills’

EXCERPT:

JENNINGS: "The ship has clearly sailed on repealing it. And Johnson made that clear. It‘s ingrained in our system. But what must be done, and I think what the Republicans are going to focus on, is prices. I mean, people feel like they‘re paying more and more and more for insurance and getting less and less coverage. So, that is what they want to deal with. I think they‘re extremely concerned about transparency. Nobody knows exactly what‘s in these medical bill you get. Also, I talked to a senior member of the House Republican Conference tonight who's directly involved in policymaking on health care. He said right out of the gate, 'We will not do anything to jeopardize pre-existing conditions.' So when I hear that, what I hear is, Republicans understand the political contours in which they‘re operating and they‘re going to act accordingly, but they will not ignore the fact that prices have gone up and coverage has gotten worse for millions upon millions of Americans."
