Trump: ‘I Guarantee’ Apple Will Make Their Products Here Instead of China

‘We are going to bring jobs from China’

“So, here is what’s happening. People go to a great school, they graduate, you know, top in their class, they graduate with good marks, they work really hard. Their parents are proud, everybody’s proud — they can’t get a job. That’s going to change folks, you’re going to get jobs, you’re going to get such great jobs. We’re going to bring jobs back from China. We’re going to bring them back from Mexico. (Cheering) We will start — before I’m finished, I guarantee you that we will have Apple products made in the United States not in China, OK? (Cheering) I guarantee you. And plenty of other companies. You know we had a case the other day I was very vocal about it, because I think it’s disgusting. And I’m a conservative person but I called myself commonsense conservative. You have these people that — I don’t know if they know about business or not, but they believe in free trade, and I do too. But free trade has to be fair trade, right? Don’t you agree? It’s got to be fair. It can’t be free for them and everything — they get all the benefits. So if you take your country like China, China sets all that stuff in here, no tax come on in, dump whatever the hell you want it doesn’t make any difference — perfect. I have friends in the manufacturing business, if they want to sell to China, number one, they can’t. And number two, if they do, they have to pay a massive tax, beyond they call it tariff by the way, because it sounds a little better. But it’s not free trade, OK? So you’ll have some of these conservative people like at National Review, some of these magazines, that don’t have a clue, they’re all going out of business anyway, so that’s a good thing. But they don’t have a clue. They don’t understand business. And they’ll say, ‘Trump is not a true conservative, because he wants to charge your tax to a country.’ Well, they’re taxing us, OK. So if they’re taxing us I want to charge theirs tax, OK. And, it’s not even — you know what’s going to happen? It’s not even going to really start a trade war. But of course, if you think about it with China this year, we will lose five hundred and 5 billion dollars, think of it. And we’ve been losing similar amounts, 400 billion, 300 billion for years. So they say, ‘Oh you’ll start a trade war.’ You know what? When you losing that kind of money who the hell cares? Who cares? Who cares?” (Cheering)
