‘Free Beacon’ Montage: Hillary Clinton Wants To Be a Cool Kid

‘I am a real person’

Hillary Clinton Wants to be a Cool Kid (The Washington Free Beacon)

Clinton is in the middle of her second presidential campaign, and she has taken a new approach to this campaign. After her loss to President Obama in 2007, Clinton has tried to reintroduce herself as a cool, hip grandmother that will be a champion for everyday Americans.

In order to appear “cool,” Clinton has relied on celebrity endorsements from musicians Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg and actress Amy Poehler. A few celebrities have even hit the campaign trail on behalf of Clinton. Actress Lena Dunham campaigned for Clinton in Iowa despite her private doubts about Clinton’s attempt to discredit women who accused her husband President Bill Clinton of rape.

Clinton has taken a page from the Obama playbook and has made numerous appearances on late night and daytime talk shows along with a guest appearance on Saturday Night Live. Despite the wide age difference, Clinton has made a notable push to connect more with younger voters. During the summer Clinton visited a Chipotle and on her social media platforms, she speaks like a millennial.
