‘My father is a Republican, he believes in Republican values’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:

HEMMER: “So, Donald Trump in Bluffton, South Carolina near Hilton Head. I want to bring his son, Eric Trump with me live in studio, who is listening to this town hall format, along with me. And Eric good morning to you. And welcome back here.”
TRUMP: “It’s great being with you.”
HEMMER: “Couple things I want to drill down on, define for us what your father says is common sense conservative which is the phrase he used last night. What is that?”
TRUMP: “Well listen, I think it’s that is having real practicality in life. He spent so much time beating down doors about the Second Amendment, guys with guns could shoot back, talking about Iran deal. How could we give a country that hates our guts $150 billion. There are real facets. Va, all the vets have been mistreated. Why can’t we do something about that? Why are we letting illegal immigrants coming into the country get better medical care than soldiers fighting on battlefield. That is his message. How do we let it get that broken.”
HEMMER: “When  Republicans hear phrase of common sense conservatives I think they think about social issues. From a political strategy standpoint, is he playing to the middle? Is he playing to Reagan Democrats?”
TRUMP: “You heard it right there, in terms of pro-life. He speaking to many of those social issues. My father is a Republican. He believes in  Republican values. He couldn’t be more  Republican, right? in terms of his, he also thinks that much of what happens in government just defies common sense. We don’t make good deals. We don’t negotiate good deals, right? You have so many lobbyists controlling various candidates. You saw what happened the other day in South Carolina at debate where the whole room was stacked effectively with big donors. He is very much against that he is against the traditional system that got this country where we are right now.”
