Cramer: The U.S. Economy Is in ‘Such a Better Place’ than it Was in 2008 and 2009
CRAMER: “We are in a better place. You hear about these things in Turkey. I remember when I had a giant position in [INDECIPHERABLE], which was the whirlpool of Turkey, and they devalued, devalued, devalued. I was in the blast zone. Doesn’t be in the blast zone here, OK? Don’t be a hero. No need. We have got great American companies that are going down as if they are in Turkey and they are here. We are in such a better place than 2008, 2009, 2010, but people forget. Tyler, our country is so strong, I don't want to sound like Jamie Dimon here, given that big pay increase – “
MATHISEN: “A sensitive issue because I know some people feel the New York Times was wrong about that, there was no [INDECIPHERABLE].”
CRAMER: “But I do think that our country is so much stronger, Ty, that you can't just take out the 2009 playbook which would say sell everything. You can't take out the 2010 playbook which just says keep Bristol Myers. Things are better. We're blowing away a lot of industrials because we're worried about China, and China is a concern, but that's where I want to look three days from now.”
