Dan Hoffman: White House’s Public Policy Messaging Is ‘Not Linked Up with Reality’

‘It has to be consistent with reality and policy’

EXCERPT:

HOFFMAN: “Well, I think message discipline matters and it has to be consistent with reality in policy. And look, Iran has eliminated whatever Israel might have thought they had in terms of a credible deterrence. That was the first time last Saturday night that Iran launched an attack from its territory. And it wasn’t a pinprick, it’s a massive attack, over 300 cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and drones against Israel. And so, that genie is out of the bottle. And I think the reason why Israel struck at Isfahan early this morning our time was to demonstrate that in the event that Iran thinks that they could strike Israel again, Israel also has the capability to strike Iran. That’s the new world we live in. And it seems that the White House, in terms of their public policy messaging, is not linked up with the reality in the Middle East right now.”
