Rattner to Scarborough: ‘Maybe You’re a Socialist’ for Agreeing with Sanders

Scarborough: ‘I see that as a good thing’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:

RATTNER: "Not a socialist. His voting record is everything you said it was. I think the troublesome question for a Democrat is he does want to break up the banks which many of us don’t think is the right policy. He does want to have a single payer health insurance program which a number of those things would be hard. He does want to raise taxes by massive amounts in order to fund this."
SCARBOROUGH: "But breaking up the banks, do you see that as a bad thing? I see that as a good thing. Most of America sees that as a good thing. Bank of America goes down tomorrow we’re all on the hook for it. If J.P. Morgan goes down tomorrow, the taxpayers again bail them out. If Goldman and Sachs goes down, we all bail them out. We think, the Americans feel too big to fail has gotten bigger and I’m going to vote for the Republican who says the same thing. I don’t think that’s a socialist. Our banks are not as big in relative terms. Number two, you’re not going to break the banks down to the point where they’re going to be effective. They’re going to have to function in a new way."
