(CNSNews.com) – Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) defended Planned Parenthood on the House floor Wednesday just before the House passed a bill that defunds Planned Parenthood and repeals Obamacare, saying that the nation’s largest abortion provider actually “protects life.”

“Why is it they want to take away the very services that actually protect life?” Speier asked. “Planned Parenthood protects life.”
