RFK Jr.: As President I Won’t Send Our Troops Abroad ‘for Regime Change Wars or Oil Wars’

‘When I am in the White House, I’m going to return our military to its true function, which is to defend the American homeland’

EXCERPT:

KENNEDY JR.: “When I’m in the White House, I’m going to return our military to its true function, which is to defend the American homeland. I won’t send you abroad for regime change wars or oil wars. I will unwind the sprawling military empire that has deployed so many of you needlessly, and gradually shutter most of the 800 American bases around the world. To do that, I need your help. And that is why I’m going to convene a permanent Veterans Advisory Council, with a seat on the National Security Council, so that veterans have a say in future decisions about war and peace. You, who have sacrificed the most, are among the best qualified to guide us. And I will also draw on your experience to help me root out corruption in the defense industry and to make our military into a lean, efficient, fighting force.”
