Jeb: Donald Winning Doesn’t Mean He’d Be a Good Commander-in-Chief

‘It doesn’t mean he’s a serious candidate, it just means he’s winning’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:

VAN SUSTEREN: “All right. You raised the T-word. You said Trump. I didn’t. So let me ask you this. You called him unhinged. His unhinged policies, the chaos candidate and even called him a jerk. It seems like the new Jeb Bush, you know, out on the campaign trail. Those are not the words I typically heard from a Jeb Bush before.”
BUSH: “Well, look, I have just repeating what he said. Evidence said ISIS two months ago wasn’t a threat. It is a threat and he was wrong then and he is wrong now. He said that he gets his foreign policy and military advice from the shows. Really? A president of the United States would just show up on Sunday mornings and watch what’s going on rather than seek the best advice that exists? He is unhinged in the sense that he is not a serious candidate. His proposals aren’t serious and they would lead to a bad outcome our country.”
VAN SUSTEREN: “He may not be serious but he is leading in the polls. That’s a reality that you need to and the Republican Party and the voters, anybody out there, you know, has to put your hands on. He is leading. He may not be serious but he sure is leading. That seems pretty serious to me.”
BUSH: “No. And just because he is winning doesn’t mean that he would be a good commander-in-chief. It doesn’t mean that he is a serious candidate. It means he is winning, fine, I respect that people are latched on to him because of their anger and angst but we have serious times. We need serious leadership. In my case here in New Hampshire and across the country is that I have a steady hand and I have plans to keep us safe. And I know how to do it.”
